A Brave New World

I have received a lot of calls from people asking me, "what are you doing with Rodan and Fields? What on earth is Rodan and Fields?" So naturally ;), I decided to start a blog, explaining and chronicling my experiences while (hopefully) keeping me and anyone who reads this motivated, so thanks for reading :)
You May Not Be Interested, but this is Why Rodan and Fields is so Exciting to Me:
When I was approached with this incredible opportunity to partner with the doctors who created Proactiv in their new business venture, I thought it sounded too good to be true. Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields had the No. 1 selling product in Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Henry Bendel and Saks. I was confused as to why they would pull it from the public sector and open it up to Direct Sales. Why would we have the opportunity to earn a piece of this $2.9 billion market at such a ground floor level when they were already wildly successful?
I was intrigued, especially when I discovered that sales were not dependent on selling personal product inventory at events hosted at friends’ homes and they gave you a 60 day money back guarantee! I found that Drs. Rodan and Fields were both educated at Stanford University, were two of the most respected names in skin care, developed products that achieve dramatic results and that they were working to create business opportunities for anyone who wanted to be a part of it.
What was even more attractive to me about this opportunity was that you could do it all from home (including training which is online), part time, full time and even in addition to a full time job. There is complete flexibility, since you are your own boss. I read a great deal of success stories written by women who quadrupled their teaching salary in 18 months doing this on the side, stay at home moms paying off entire mortgages while also earning a Lexus as a special sales incentive, missionaries using this business to support other missionaries and countless others.
It was amazing to me that this business could be such a blessing to individuals and families; helping them achieve their goals of financial freedom, while changing lives and changing skin. There are also plenty of customers who have become consultants because the products help them so much, they couldn't help but spread the good word. People are already LOOKING for these products, why not make it easier for them to find?!  
Another selling point for me was the team building aspect and opportunities for leadership, teaching, coaching and mentoring. We all like helping people. Why not help them with products that make them feel good about themselves, with a business model that encourages team building and positive reinforcement? Rodan and Fields products just about sell themselves, so it is able to place just as much, if not more emphasis on the positive reinforcement and team building aspect of the business, as opposed to just sales. Don't get me wrong, the perks are awesome ($, Ipads, Lexus vehicles, Coach purses, countless vacations etc), but isn’t it great that there is so much more to it than that?
My Personal interest/story/views:
I have been underestimated my entire life. Shoot, even I underestimate me! I don't take offense, it helps me dream big, which in my book is always a good thing. Not many people thought I would could make it through West Point, but I graduated with an Engineering Degree. Not many thought I would do anything exciting, but I led Soldiers in combat. I'm not saying I am The Most Interesting Woman in the World, but those are a couple achievements I am proud of that some never thought I was capable of. And now there are a few who aren't sure about this new business venture of mine, so again, I have to at least try to prove them wrong J.
There are also those out there that tell me, "but Jenny, you could do so much MORE with your training, degree and education." Yes, there are plenty of other things I could do, but more? I don’t know. You have to trade an awful lot for what is considered "more" sometimes. What even is more? More for me is staying home and supporting my family while still feeling purposeful and productive, generating financial support and helping others do the same, all while increasing my confidence and the confidence of consumers and my teams. More FOR ME is not a high powered career working 12 hours a day away from my family. But that's just me. Many in this business have already become million dollar earners in just 3 short years and are managers in their own right! So what is more to you?
There are so many wives and moms out there now, supporting their families as well as starting their own businesses at home in fitness, coaching, photography, vitamins, health care etc. and I couldn't be more supportive or PROUD to be a part of that group!
What is life, but the sum of our experiences anyway? At the end of the day, I know the products are great and the company will continue to thrive and make peoples dreams come true. The doctors have already made many dreams come true with their products and business model and they are affording others the privilege of doing the same.
What will you do with your financial freedom? I would like to one day write a children’s book(s), open up my own coffee shop/book store and do my part in the fight against human trafficking. I am beyond excited at, not only this prospect for me, but at the prospect, opportunity and privilege of helping my team achieve their goals! My team is very committed to my success and I can't wait to pay it forward and have a hand in the success of my friends and anyone else who would like to take advantage of this incredible opportunity.
